🌴Welcome to Playa Flamenco, Culebra, PR🇵🇷
This is one of the top rated beaches in the world! A mile of clear turquoise water and white sand provides the picture perfect getaway for couples, families and an experience like no other. Anyone who plans a trip to Culebra must see Flamenco without a doubt!
🌺Flamenco beach is known for its iconic abandoned military tank~Just west of the beach you can take a stroll over and see this historical site for yourself. Culebra has an abundance of past U.S. military presence, and was treated as a military base as well as testing site. Stay tuned for more Culebra history soon…
🌺The Flamenco beach is great for snorkeling, surfing/boogie boarding, morning power walks, dancing and much more! This is one of the more visited beaches by everyone- so it’s safe to say you will usually hear lots of music and laughter. If you’re looking for a more quiet and less populated experience, we recommend you try visiting prior to 12pm.
🌺 It is vital to bring cash for parking, food and drinks. Near the parking lot you can find a few kiosks typically open. These kiosks offer food and drinks such as: meat kababs(pinchos), a variety of empanadas(pastelillos), ceviche(seafood salad), alcapurrias, tostones and piña coladas of course! With food we ask you to please properly throw away your trash as well as not feeding any wildlife, especially seagulls.
🌺 Flamenco is one of the only beaches in Culebra that has a lifeguard tower, water safety flags/signs and bathrooms/showers. This a very family friendly beach and we ask you to please read all informational signs and check water flags prior to entering in the water. There is a lifeguard on the West side of the beach, but the further you walk the less protection you have. Please educate yourself on water safety, riptides and how to swim prior to entering the water here. Although typically a calm tide beach, Flamenco can have large waves big enough to even surf!
