Por muchísimo tiempo no se tenía una idea exacta de cuantas playas tiene nuestro país, pero en el 2015 la RED DE PLAYAS DE PUERTO RICO Y EL CARIBE generaron y dieron a conocer EL PRIMER INVENTARIO completo de PLAYAS de nuestro hermoso archipiélago Y NOS DAN UN NÚMERO ... a lo largo y ancho de nuestro territorio nacional existen 1,225 PLAYAS.

Los amantes de las BUENAS PLAYAS, se enamoran de PUERTO RICO. Imagínese usted, una isla grande paradisiáca rodeada de + de 125 islas, cayos e islotes tropicales; formando un archipiélago en el MISMO CENTRO del Caribe.

FRENTE A LA VISITA, TU ERES EL DURO EN PLAYAS, lúcete:

1. Bueno, la primera ya la tienes, tenemos 1,225 PLAYAS.

2. De los 78 MUNICIPIOS de Puerto Rico, 44 tienen costa; o sea, un 56% de los pueblos.

3. Los 3 pueblos con + PLAYAS son:
____ VIEQUES ............. 172
____ CABO ROJO ....... 127 ( #1 en la Isla Grande)
____ CULEBRA ........... 111

4. Tenemos playas de ARENAS blancas, blanquísimas (y hay que usar gafas para no cegarte), rosadas, grisáceas, negras, marrones, cremas, rojizas, anaranjadas y doradas.

5. Las 5 PLAYAS + VISITADAS por turistas nacionales y extranjeros (2 están en Cabo Rojo):

This is a small Island off of Fajardo, PR ( Eastern Coast) called "Cayo Icacos" A place to Relax, spend the day, and enjoy the beautiful Beach.

I remember as a little girl coming to the Island and falling asleep to their songs every night, And after a good rain, they would sing their little hearts out. Now we're lucky if we hear one or two of them.
