Please help this girl raise some funds to help other victims of hurricanes: https://www.gofundme.com/joining-fema-to-help-others.

I've been living in Puerto Rico for the past 4 years and recently, my community was devastated by two successive hurricanes (Irma, and Maria). Despite the poor conditions here on the island, my community is strong and our basic needs right now are covered. we have food, water, batteries, gas, an...

Status from El Conquistador Hotel in Fajardo.

Thank you again for your thoughts and prayers after the passing of Hurricane Maria.

Our team continues to work hard on our cleanup and recovery efforts. We are proud to say we are housing about 400 relief workers based out of Roosevelt Roads who are receiving and distributing supplies throughout the east coast of Puerto Rico. During this time the resort is open to those relief workers with limited services.

The resort will remain closed for reservations until after 5/22/18 but we look forward to welcoming you back in 2018!

Every little bit helps, please donate what you can. Help this hurricane victim, help others. https://www.gofundme.com/jo...

Help is arriving!

Directly from Luquillo:

“It seems gas is moving better now with only about an hour wait in line for unlimited amount.

Also, saw Luquillo Rescue trucks heading out of Fajardo loaded with water and MREs. I understand that people in Luquillo and go get a voucher from the mayors office and take to the art and culture center to MREs and water. Share this on FB so others here will know and I will pass the word around town also.

We are still surviving till the end.”

We are receiving reports that Luquillo Post Office is starting to receive mail. It will be a bit of chaos until they catch up, so add tracking # and insurance in what you’re sending. Also WiFi is available for free just outside Liberty office. Pass this info on

More info

• A National Guard team of Puerto Rico has just left for Maricao, Las Marías and Yauco.
•Total military personnel count: 1,300 soldiers in the island.
•Airport: Over 300 people spent the night at the Airport yesterday. There is currently a limit of 10 commercial flights per day as their control tower's radar was heavily damaged. Airlines have "stand by" waiting lists of 20,000 passengers each. JetBlue, Delta, Spirit, American Airlines and United only have outbound flights to the US.
•Mail: USPS still can't service the island. FedEx might resume service mid-week.
•The Manatí mayor is ANGRY at the Gov. and is asking for help desperately. They need water urgently.
•Cellphones can all use T-mobile's network (when phones indicate strong signal) but they HAVE to turn on "data roaming" in order for them to work. Claro network customers need to reboot their phones in order to work.
• About 500,000 people have water service, or about 40% of customers. There are 30 thousand that will have water for 24 hours and then another 24 hrs without service until they change the valves so that other areas can have water as well. The rest will have water service all the time.
• The Mayagüez Medical Center is expected to be energized tomorrow.
• Hiram Bithorn Stadium, Roberto Clemente Coliseum, Nemesio Canales, Plaza las Americas Mall and Hato Rey USPS have electricity.
• Docks: San Juan is fully open during the day. Peñuelas Aguadilla and Aguirre are open without restriction. Guayama, fajardo, Vieques and Culebra are open during the day including for passenger boats.
•3 hours in line is the average waiting time to withdraw money from an ATM or bank teller.
•A few retailers and wholesalers like Costco have water for sale and also have cash-back service at the registers.
• 21 people were arrested for violating curfew. Other arrests have also been made (1 adult with 3 minors robbing a hardware store, 1 Walgreens in Santurce was robbed and set on fire, thieves are robbing car batteries and fuel from parked cars at night).
•One traffic police officer was hit by a car in Bayamón and the woman responsible abandoned the scene, but was later apprehended.
• 16 confirmed deaths directly related to the hurricane.
•Gasoline is slowly starting to get distributed to working gas stations
