No words needed, anyway…
Developing and maintenance never ends. Three new routes and a couple more to come!
Celebrating birthday! #culebra #puertorico #wateractivities #birthday
Petzl MGO 110 or we like to call it el Jumbotron!
Our time for climbing at the Dolomites was running out,
and the cold weather was keeping us from climbing at some of the higher classic areas like Cinque Torri. Therefore, we decided to toughen up and be willing to suffer a little: climb until our freezing fingers couldn’t take the pain.
Well, turns out we didn’t have to get to that point. Rain and snow was added to the scenario and just made it impossible to climb at times slippery polished dolomite rock. Oh well, time to go to a lower elevation and look for another area. Patience is a virtue.
On our rest day
we decided to do a little active rest. We read from our climbing guide book about a hike thru tunnels of WWI with an easy access using a cable car, so decided to go for it.
Little did we know we were about to visit the site of the most treacherous and deadliest battle ever seen in the Italian mountains. A place of beauty and horror that mix in a strange way and remains today as one of the least-known historical events of mankind.
As an extra treat and just by coincidence, it was the same day of the toughest marathons I have witnessed. The Delicious Trail running race of about 43 km with a positive difference in altitude of about 3100 meters.
Piz da Lech. Nice climb, awesome descent. Dolomites, Alta Badia, Italy.
Rest day at la lavandería. La Villa, Alta Badia. Edad had here revenge. Ball at the balls! Ouch.
A cold day at the Dolomites!# #rockclimbing
Vajolet Towers: a fantastic place for climbers. Featured in the 1993 Cliffhanger film.
We just finished a cool climb and this is what we encountered at the top. It is a true magical climbing destination. Guess where?
Whats more important, filming or belaying?
By today’s standards, filming of course! 🤦🏻♂️
