At Two Goldens and a Teardrop we write about our travels throughout the United States. You'll learn about the adventures of Dusty and Bella, two crazy, fun-loving golden retrievers who love to camp! From really 'ruffing' it in the back-country to relaxing in style, we're all about getting out and experiencing nature in all its natural beauty! So, who are those two two-legged folks I keep seeing ou
t in the wild with Dusty and Bella? Are they new-age hippies? Canine-loving aristocrats perhaps? Or are they your everyday average millennials who hide behind a screen? We'll leave that for you to decide, but the bottom line is when we're not writing here, we love getting outside! All fun and games aside, Jillian and Paul are responsible for documenting Dusty & Bella's adventures, and we do make the occasional guest appearance. When we're not on an adventure with Dusty and Bella, or planning the next, we're probably doing what your typical adult does - working. Jillian is a Pediatric Emergency Room nurse (we're in good hands here folks), and Paul is still trying to figure out what he wants to be when he grows up (barefoot nature walks, anyone?), but, he does have hope (or so Jillian thinks). Paul spent some time in the military (Army) and worked for the Department of Defense as a civilian for a few years, but found that sitting behind a desk all day just doesn't satisfy his desire for adventure, nor his entrepreneurial spirit. Born in November 2013 in central Virginia, Dusty is a full-grown golden retriever. Weighing in at a healthy 75 pounds, he has boundless energy, and LOVES splashing through any stream he comes across. When he's not out adventuring with Bella, there's a good chance he's got one of his favorite toys and is enticing Bella to play tug-o-war, or showing Paul his sad puppy eyes, begging to go explore. Bella was born in May of 2014 in Northern Virginia's Blue Ridge mountains. When we adopted Bella, while hale and healthy, she was strictly an 'outdoor pup' and deathly afraid of our home. It took some serious coaching and encouragement from Dusty to get her to cross the threshold, but as you'll see, she's adapted VERY well. When she's not out exploring with Dusty, Bella enjoys napping and picking stray socks from the hamper to bring to Jillian or Paul, as if to say "let's go!"
So, what're you waiting for???
