Reliable Family Business
Founded on the small peace of paradise we call Vieques, Puerto Rico in the 90’s by late local entrepreneur Nelson Castillo (Known locally as Nelson with the beard and glasses) & his late partner Bill Lacey. As the business owner of the famous “Bar Mar Azul” and “Vieques T-shirts” Nelson was well aware of the every day struggles a small business can face when on “island time” and inconsistencies of the service of the public collection services. Together they seized the opportunity and decided to open “A Tiempo”. A Tiempo has provided reliable service to different businesses in the island including restaurants, hotels, guest houses and private properties. In 2001 after Nelson passed away his wife Leonor Cruz continued the operation of the business with the help of their 3 daughters Kassandra, Vanessa & Nicole.
After the devastation caused by Hurricane Maria on the island in 2007 businesses were greatly affected and struggling to stay afloat. With many closed for renovations and tourism directly affected everyone is working hard for a fast recovery. A Tiempo is ready to help remove debris from your property so you can get back on track, start fresh and ready for bussiness!
