Parking in Carvoeiro can be tricky. Here are a few areas worth trying if you find yourself trying to park without much luck...
1. At the top of "Restaurant Hill" turn left before Villa Medici and drive down the one way street until it opens up to a bay of around 25 car park spaces. 2. On the outroad of Carvoeiro, there is a turning up the hill on the right that curves around to the left and this leads to a parking area for approximately 50 cars. Carvoeiro restaurant recommendation 4: Taberna Portuguesa. Another traditional Portuguese restaurant. My favourite meal there is choosing one of their steaks on a hot stone..you get to cook the steak your way (a bit like fondue without the oil) and the price ranges from around 23-28 euros depending on the type of steak. They even put a bib on you to make sure you don't get your shirt dirty!

If you are from the UK, you are no doubt aware of the faff for being able to get rid of household waste. In Portugal, you don't get bin men picking up your waste, but instead the council, or camara, have conveniently left large green bins by the side of the road for use by anyone. There are 2 sets of these bins within 400 metres of the villa (turn left out the gate, down the hill to the road, and wither turn left or right and you will see them). They also have recycling by the side of the road (the ones in the photo are approximately 600 metres from the villa, on the way to the Inter Marche..
