Highest level of water we have ever seen in the Apertadura de Rasa, during the 13 years we have been coming here. And it hasn’t rained for a few months now… Paradise of peace with only the sound of our dogs trying to rescue my husband during his training 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Question: what is a Cityhop(per) : A- a person who travels or moves frequently from one place or situation to another B - Airplane or bus traveling big cities C- a fantastic bird that normally is rather shy and lives in the fields but then all of a sudden appears in the city Answer : all of the above 😅🥰🥰 Here is the City-Hop(oe)

For years we have been hearing him without seeing him, but recently a competitor arrived in the neighborhood and our own hoopoe (hop) shows himself more and more. Sorry for the lack of equipment but a combination of old telescope and iPhone gave this : 🥰

Biking in the Alto Alentejo. Mind the car.

Just a bit too far, but nevertheless an amazing bird to hear and see : cranes. Soon they will leave us and migrate back to the north to mate and have their chicks. We will wait for them when winter returns.
