One of the best things about this place, in our opinion, is how quiet and secluded it feels. The neighbors are few and far apart, so there’s privacy when in the pool, grilling or showering outside. But it’s also a short drive/bike ride to Ferragudo, where you can get groceries, grab a new magazine, take a stroll through the typical fisherman village, or have a nice dinner out 🌞

Kids also love to stay here! There’s lots of space, trees and rocks to explore, grass to play football on, plenty of bugs and birds to watch, and the occasional fox 🦊 and bunny 🐰 come say hi! We have 2 TVs with Netflix for those family movie nights, and can provide a high chair and crib for the littlest ones. The pool is another kid favorite, but rest assured that it can be very easily covered for safety 💛

We love to sit here after lunch, when the sun is strong, read a book and enjoy the breeze. The Santa Catarina tile floors, the traditional Algarve handmade terracotta tiles, help keep the floors cool in the shade, and that’s why you’ll see us walking barefoot all summer 🙃

At Monte da Rocha, we have a nice outdoor shaded grill, with a service bathroom and shower just next to it, overlooking the pool area. This makes grilling sardines not just delicious, but easy and fun!

From our driveway to the beach ☀️ Yup, this is it! No next door neighbors, just peace, quiet, and sun. Oh yeah, and the beach and the pool 🙊 And still close to the charming village of Ferragudo, and a short ride away from the city of Portimão. Everything you need for a great vacation!
