How to get to Vila Teresinha by private car:
From Madeira airport you take the motorway from the airport towards Funchal. Get off the at the first sign which says "Funchal centre" Exit 12 ( Campo da Barca ). Go down to the sea front, once you are at the sea front, there is a long avenue take the right lane. At end of this avenue there is a roundabout, go into this tunnel get
into the left lane,

pass in front a big shopping centre DOLCE VIDA go up this road pass another roundabout, while going up get into the right lane and turn right into "Rua da Carreira". This is one way street, this road will get you to the car park in front of the pension Vila Teresinha. BY AERO BUS to Funchal:
You can take the aero bus you get of at Rotunda do Infante, cross the street pass a shopping center Dolce Vida, turn right you get into a road crossing, go left till you reach a square with a water fountain look to your right, there is a street called Rua Pimenta Aguiar go up Vila Teresinha is a the top of this road. If you take the SAM buses that is the local buses it is only 5 minutes way from Vila Teresinha, you get off at the last bus station, you cross the bridge which is
opposite the bus station, cross the street and go straight forward and turn left at the first intersection which will lead you to a square with a water fountain in the middle, cross the road by the fountain and turn right into Rua Pimenta Aguiar go up this road, you will see a car park and opposite you will see Vila Teresinha.

Comments:
We felt like family was taking care of us. Katarina was so very thoughtful. Because we were leaving extra early to get our flight to Paris she made sandwiches for us and had coffee ready for us. This was our first visit to the island and found Augustino to be very informative and helpful. We learnt so much from him and enjoyed his visits at breakfast time. I noticed that he was sensitive to the guests. If they wanted to have a quiet undisturbed breakfast they got that ,if they wanted to visit he was very interesting to talk with. We hope to be back with more family members. We highly recommend staying here. Thanks again. Allyson & Sam. 18. July 2015
