Job Title: Sales Director for Web Portal (Madeira Island)
Job Description:
Overview:
The Sales Director will be responsible for leading the sales team and developing strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth for our web portal in Madeira Island. This role requires a strong understanding of the various sectors within the portal, effective sales strategies, and excellent leadership skills to motivate and guide the sales team towards achieving targets and maximizing business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy Development:
Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with the overall marketing objectives of the web portal.
Identify new business opportunities and market trends to drive sales growth in sectors, including car sales, restaurants, marketplace, accommodation, business club, HR, and real estate.
Team Leadership and Management:
Provide direct supervision and guidance to a team of 10 Account Managers, ensuring alignment with sales objectives.
Conduct regular team meetings, set individual performance goals, and provide ongoing feedback and coaching for development.
Foster a collaborative team culture that encourages knowledge sharing, teamwork, and mutual success.
Training and Development:
Identify training needs and opportunities for skill development among the Account Managers to enhance their sales capabilities and sector-specific knowledge.
Implement training programs to improve sales techniques, client relationship management, and industry insights.
Encourage continuous learning and professional growth within the team.
Account Management Oversight:
Monitor the performance of Account Managers in terms of client acquisition, retention, and revenue generation within their sectors.
Review key account strategies and client engagement plans to ensure alignment with sales goals.
Collaborate with Account Managers on complex client negotiations, providing guidance where needed.
Team Coordination and Communication:
Facilitate collaboration between Account Managers, marketing teams, and other departments for a cohesive client acquisition and retention approach.
Maintain open communication channels, address issues, and celebrate successes.
Establish clear communication channels for effective team coordination.
Performance Evaluation and Recognition:
Conduct regular performance evaluations for Account Managers to assess goal achievement, skill development, and contributions.
Recognize and reward top performers with incentive programs and bonuses.
Provide constructive feedback and support for underperforming team members.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
Proven experience in sales leadership roles, client relationship management, and sales strategy development.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with proficiency in CRM systems.
Previous experience working with diverse sectors such as car sales, hospitality, and real estate is preferred.
Work Environment:
The role may involve occasional travel within Madeira Island and mainland Portugal.
Combination of office-based work in Madeira Island and remote work flexibility based on company policies.
