The most common questions are regarding itineraries for travel to Portugal, so for the sake of discussion will throw some ideas out. Many of us travel differently and have different likes but assuming you are a first time visitor here are some suggestions.

7 days

Can you do all of the Portugal major areas in 7 days? Yes? Is that pace for everyone? No...

I would recommend doing Porto and Lisbon (split 3 and 3 days) or Lisbon and Algarve (3 and 3 days) and add a stop in between as your 7th day. If you have an extra day add Coimbra in North or Evora in South when traveling between the two:

3 nights in Lisbon
1 night in Coimbra
3 nights in Porto

Or

3 nights in Lisbon
1 night in Evora
3 nights in Algarve

9-10 days

This tends to be the most common length of a trip and depending on how many moves you want to make, generally the easiest is 3 bases. If you have an extra day add Coimbra in North or Evora in South.

3 nights in Porto
3 nights in Algarve
3 nights in Lisbon

14 days

This gives a lot more options for itinerary and then depends on what you enjoy but for 14 days would recommend:

3 nights in Porto
1-2 nights in Douro
1 night in Coimbra or Evora (or both)
4-5 nights in Algarve
3 nights in Lisbon

Want to go to Madeira or the Azores? That would be another 4-5 days minimum for it to be worth it, so consider that when fitting into itinerary.
