We are here this week enjoying some Spring Time sun and making some improvements to the apartment 🌞

Every time we are here we grab a new picture or upgrade a bit of equipment.

So who wants to come out next ? Summer July -August is booked out and October 1/2 term.

But still plenty of School holiday availably for those needing it.

Those with the freedom to travel when they wish. Even though we are a 3 bedroom apartment we only charge according to occupancy, so instead of a studio flat why not enjoy the extra space the larger apartment provides ?

Made some changes while we were at the apartment, new patio set on the main balcony.

The kitchen & main bedroom have a couple of seats set up on their individual balcony’s .
The 2nd bedroom has a table for 2 set up outside as well

DETAILS ABOUT THE PROPERTY AND AREA

How to get to the apartment:

Air Port:

The closest airport is Faro and there are regular flights from the UK, EasyJet, BA, Whizz Air and Tap Air Portugal

Air Port to Luz:

The town is an hours drive on Toll roads from the airport.

There are many car hire companies in the airport, we use www.luzcar.com.

The apartment is centrally located in the town everything is 10 min walk away. So if your needs are beach,supermarket for a bit of self catering, the pools and facilities in the complex. The local restaurants and bars. Then a taxi transfer can easily be arranged with the resort price of €85 each way for up to 4 people. Other Taxis are available, Taxis Dario Amado is recommended by a friend

3 bed,

Main bedroom, double with an en-suite shower room, wall mounted TV and a separate balcony
2nd bedroom, twin with a balcony that extends around to the lounge
3rd bedroom, twin with a Juliette balcony

Main bathroom with shower over the bath tub

Large well equipped kitchen with large fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.
The usual hob & oven, kettle, toaster and a nespresso machine.

The lounge/ diner is set up into two areas, the lounge area with sofas and a large 65” TV, surround sound, DVD player and many DVD,s to watch. AN X Box 360 is also set up with lots of games. There are some books and board games available.

The other end of the room has the dining table set for 6 to eat at.

The veranda can be accessed through either side of the bay window at the end of the dining area, there is a patio set ready for breakfast outside in the sun.

There is a parking spot in the underground car park if you would like to use it, please ask reception for the automatic garage key for you to get access.

The resort:

We are part of the Estrela estate and our guests can use all of the facilities as any other resort guest would enjoy.

3 swimming pools outside, one of which is adult only.
Inside swimming pool, whirlpool bath, sauna and spa treatments.
Fully equipped Gym.

2 onsite restaurants and a bar.

Luz :

We are located close to the town facilities. 5-10 min walk away.
2 supermarkets and many many Bars and Restaurants are all in easy walking distance, from a seafront treat to a fantastic steak there are many options close by. There is a photo album of restaurants we enjoy in Luz and a couple in other villages close by.

Things to do : There are photo albums for each of these suggestions.

There are many other things to do in the area like a Zoo, Water Park & Golf but as we have not used them I can not comment.
Please update us with recommendations after your visit so we can share with others.

Beach, 10 min walk away

Foia Monchique, amazing mountain views, hours drive

Autodromo & Go Karting, the F1 circuit, with ticketed events through the year and award winning Go Karting available to pre book. 30 min away.

Cape St Vincent, the most western point in Europe allowing for a fantastic sunset view and great location for spotting migrating birds.
30 min drive.

Lagos boat trips, head out to watch dolphins or explore the cliff formations and grottos. Many companies offer tours from the Marina.
15 min drive.
