Wednesday = market day! 🍅🍆🥦👩🏻‍🌾🐓(as well as some other days). When and where are the Lagos Farmers Markets? And what’s so great about them?

The weekly Lagos markets are a highlight not only for the variety of fresh local produce, but also for the social scene. It’s like a local Meetup :).
Support local producers while and stocking up on fresh goodness 🥬, and maybe have a beer 🙂.

Here are the times:

🍅 Weekly Farmers market:
🗓️ Saturday mornings 7:00–14:00
📍 Mercado do Levante (next to the Lagos bus station)
🧺 Fruits, vegetables, olives, eggs, flowers, plats chickens, eggs, bread, pastries

🗓️ Wednesdays evenings 17:00–21:00 (in winter 16:00–20:00)

Lazing on the beach all day not your thing? We get it. If you like activity and adventure on your holiday, here are 6 fun and memorable things to do in Lagos. 🌊🚴‍♂️🏄‍♀️

💦 Discover secret beaches on a SUP. A sunrise tour with SUPLagos () is an incredible way to do this. Or rent one from and go exploring.

🚴‍♀️ Like to stay on land? Discover the coastline or countryside on a fun ride with

🏄🏻‍♀️ Learn to surf (or improve) on an all inclusive surf day-trip with . With amazing picnic lunch, equipment, instruction and transport (i.e. likely a tour of some local beaches). Always a fun day out.

🛶 Explore the enchanting grottos and ponta da piedade, on a kayak tour with . Find them at the entrance to Batata beach.

Ready to hit the beach? 🏖️🌞. Lagos has some of the best in the world. From hidden rocky coves to long stretches of white sand, here is your easy guide to the 7 main beaches in Lagos, Portugal.

1. : the town beach. Just a short walk from the town centre, where you can get a kayak trip to explore the grottos (go with ), and with a cool bar to grab a refreshing drink ( ).

2. is the next beach along. Take the steps down from the batata beach look-out, to this more secluded beach. Pass through the tunnel in the rock to emerge at the iconic arch. One not to miss.✨

3. a personal favourite and a bit of a secret. The view from the top is to die for 👀. This beach has no bar or services and surrounded by cliffs, so you can really feel in the nature.

4. . For an iconic Algarve beach, without too many steps to climb, and with parking and services nearby, this is a good one.

5. (also the cover image) a beach that dreams are made of. Just look at that water. Definitely worth a visit, but be prepared to climb a lot of steps. It’ll be worth it.

6. Another GtL favourite. With plenty of parking, space on the beach, iconic cliffs without the stairs and a couple of good beachbar-restaurants ( .oantonio) this is a winner for convenience. And it’s the best place to catch the sunset. 🌅

7. If you love big wide, flat beaches, this is the one for you. You can have plenty of space to yourself, play sports, and when you are ready, wander up to one of the beach bars like or for some sardines and a sangria jug 😊
