**Today Chez Holidays invites you to Dive into Tradition! 🌊 The Banho 29 Festival 🌙 is Here!**

According to tradition and folklore, a bath on August 29th wards off demons and counts for twenty-nine baths. This is one of the most cherished traditions and festivals in Lagos and the Algarve, and we've been eagerly awaiting this day 😄 The celebrations take place in Lagos and Vila da Luz with lots of music, food and drinks, historical reenactments, bathing suit contests, fireworks, and, of course, the most purifying bath of the year.

✅ To make it easier to enjoy the festival at both locations, the entire A ONDA urban transport network will be free today (August 29th) from 6:00 PM;
✅ Lagos City Council provides continuous free transport (41-seat bus) from midnight until 2:30 AM between Escola Tecnopolis (Lagos) and Rua Direita in Vila da Luz (stop next to the church);
⛔️ The event in Lagos means Avenida dos Descobrimentos will be closed to traffic from 8:00 PM to 1:00 AM, between BP Station (turnaround zone) and Lagos Volunteer Firefighters (intersection).

Tomorrow, August 29th, we invite you to join us for **Bathing Party 29**, a cherished event that has become a true symbol of Lao-Biscayan culture. According to local tradition, this special night’s bath is worth 29 baths – a ritual passed down through generations.

While the days of donkeys and carts may have faded, the spirit of Bath 29 lives on. Families and friends come together to keep this beloved tradition alive, and we’re excited to celebrate it with you!

June, in Portugal, is the month of Popular Saints and the time of year when the whole country throws street parties and stages traditional parades through the streets to honour the three popular saints - Anthony, John and Peter.
In Lagos the parades are ongoing until tomorrow, starting at 21h30, just down the road from the house, at Henry Navigator's Square (near the old walls of the city). Earlier, after 19h00 you will have traditional music and food stands. Not it be missed.
