📰GOOD NEWS: Portuguese government 🇵🇹 increased the number of countries with frequent air routes to Portugal, and also reinforced its demands when entering the country.

Every passenger that comes who is not of the Schengen area (except for those who are in transit and do not exit the airport) must produce a negative test to covid-19 done in the previous 72 hours. If they cannot produce the document, foreign passengers will be barred and the airline company ✈️ may be fined. In the case of Portuguese citizens or residents, if they come in humanitarian flights or from African Portuguese-speaking countries, the passengers have 48 hours to take a test, on pain of disobedience.

Today we celebrate for the firs time the World Portuguese Language Day 🇵🇹 The declaration from UNESCO that has been deemed a “very important moment” for the language! 😁

Portuguese is the most widely spoken language in the Southern Hemisphere 🌍 and that it was also the language of the first wave of globalisation, leaving words and marks in other languages in the world.

To celebrate 🎉 this day on social media, I accepted the challenge wand took a picture with a Portuguese book! 📚

I cheat and I choose a bilingual book "What the tourist should see", a Lisbon's guide wrote by Fernando Pessoa, one of our most important poets in Portugal and the World 🗺

Today I want to share with you my favorite viewpoint in Lisbon! 😍

"Miradouro da Nossa Senhora do Monte" offers a panoramic view of Lisbon, which is also observed by a small image of the Virgin Mary that gives the place it's name: "Our Lady of the Mount".

This is the highest point in the city you can visit without paying any ticket. 😉 From here you can see Saint George Castle 🏰 , the April 25th 🌉 , Christ the King statue and several other monuments.

This spot is especially popular at sunset 🌇 , but you can enjoy it during the day under the shade of the olive trees, cypresses and pines. 🌳

Dois Corvos and Burial Beer Co. from Asheville - North Carolina 🇺🇸 were crazy enough to do it!

Today the brewery becames a bakery for the launch of "Casamentos & Baptizados" - Weddings and Baptisms - an Imperial Stout inspired by the popular "Pastel de Nata" ! 😁

Let's taste it? Visit "Dois Corvos" at Marvila - the Craft Beer quarter in Lisbon! ;)

Vasco da Gama Bridge is the longest bridge in Europe 🇪🇺 after the Crimean Bridge with a total length of 12.3 kilometres (7.6 mi). It was built to alleviate the congestion on Lisbon's 25 de Abril Bridge. 🌉

It costed $1.1 billion 😮 The construction began on February 1995 🚧 and the bridge was opened on 29 March 1998, just in time for Expo 98, the World's Fair that celebrated the 500th anniversary of the discovery by Vasco da Gama of the sea route from Europe to India. 🇮🇳

The bridge has a life expectancy of 120 years and hold up to an earthquake 4.5 times stronger than the historical 1755 Lisbon earthquake!
