Dear friends, it has been a while since we last sent you some news about our beautiful country! As you may know, we were in confinement for almost 2 months but, little by little, Portugal is getting back to a new normal.
Phase 1 of deconfinement started on May the 4th and things went well so, last Monday, we entered the second phase and have been receiving more and more news from hotels, restaurants, monuments, …, saying they will open soon so, little by little and following the Government’s directions, we’re getting back to this new normal where we still have to wear masks and keep distance in public spaces but can start enjoying the beautiful Spring sun outside in a terrace drinking a delicious coffee. The Portuguese Tourism Board also created the “Clean and Safe” seal, which distinguishes tourist activities that ensure compliance with hygiene and cleaning requirements for surveillance and control of COVID-19 and other possible infections according to the guidelines of the Directorate-General for Health. This seal covers the entire tourism value chain, including hotels, restaurants, transportation, and others.
Also, soon, people will be allowed to go to the beach, with some restrictions but will be able to enjoy the beautiful Portuguese coastline.
We believe these are all great news, and we can’t wait to be able to start showing you this amazing country again soon!
