Happy International Women's day to all the fearless travelers, intrepid explorers and world conquerors.
Every time we travel, we learn and we teach. We see and we show. We destroy boundaries and open new paths. We have the power to draw cultures closer and show women and girls how the world is theirs.

It looks like they were listening to our "Jewish Heritage" online tour last Saturday.
At last, a proper and much deserved tribute.
Today the Portuguese Parliament voted unanimously to induct Aristides de Sousa Mendes into the National Pantheon. This is an honor befitting the 80th anniversary of Sousa Mendes' rescue action in June of 1940. The practical implication is that his physical remains will continue to lie in his home village of Cabanas de Viriato, but there will be a "cenotaph" or memorial plaque installed in Lisbon's National Pantheon. Today's action is a posthumous victory for Aristides de Sousa Mendes, who died penniless and forgotten in 1954 after having been persecuted and ruined by his government. Today Portugal can hold its head high, as can we all.

Today we did our first online tour "on location".
This was a customized tour around Estoril, done in real time. It was a very special way to celebrate birthday during lockdown, with family members joining from different locations.
And yes, we did finish the tour singing Happy birthday by the waterfront, with a custard tart! 🎂🏖️

Sair do “very typical” e mostrar a autenticidade, aquilo que torna Portugal único.
