Our Story

Halcyon I was built in Lisbon between 1968 and 1970. Designed by G. L. Watson and Co, was the last of 3 boats made, worldwide. Made for a wealthy Portuguese family, it was the largest yacht built in Portugal, at the time. The wood given by a friend, who ordered enough teak, in Goa, for a 35 tonnes boat. It has the same 0.400 twin Leyland original engines. I bought Halcyon I in 2010, from the second owner, who kept it from 1975, when it was exchanged fonr three apartments in the Algarve. Since 2010, has been my home. Spent the first year for recovery, in Cascais bay and a shipyard in Seixal. Started doing tours in Cascais and soon decided to move to the Tagus river. Leaving from Alcantara harbor, we sail in the area between Belem Tower and Alfama, the amazing old town, so you can appreciate the picturesque and colorful Lisbon and its wonderful monuments.
