Porto is beautiful any day, but on São João… it transforms.
Hot air balloons float into the sky, toy hammers bounce from stranger to stranger, and the scent of basil fills the air.
They say it’s a saint’s day, but it feels more like the whole city is celebrating.

Dancing in the streets, making wishes, jumping over bonfires, anything goes, as long as it feels right.
Because on this night, Porto doesn’t sleep. It lives.

At first glance, it might look like a quiet little town in Alto Alentejo. But take a closer look.
Nisa hides secrets stitched by hand, in cross-stitch, in gilded woodwork, and in recipes passed down through generations. Here, silence is just the backdrop for tales of shepherds, hidden thermal springs, and cheese worthy of both awards and pilgrimages.

À primeira vista, parece uma vila pacata no Alto Alentejo. Mas olhe com mais atenção.
