Praia da Luz has an enviable location sitting between Lagos and Sagres - peaceful as it is, you are never too far from an adventure. There are a host of activities within walking distance – scuba diving, horse riding, kayaking, wakeboarding, hiking, mountain biking – plus scores of world-class surfing beaches within a short drive. For the overly adventurous (not me), there is kitesurfing. The restaurants are plentiful and are high quality with excellent and friendly service.

A more peaceful holiday destination to relax but not too far away from the busier towns and resort areas such Lagos, Praia da Rocha and Alvor, for example,

Great weather in Ireland and the UK but when in Praia da Luz you also get to the experience the Portuguese atmosphere, food, wine and buzz. We now have Limited Availability over July and August (1 wk left). How about early September? Or late October -its still warm!!

The Urns atop the wall, beyond the private parking sign, mark the private entrance to the Aprts Das Redes! Just behind A Fabrica with Bar Habana and Lazuli across and Paraiso on the beach ... and the beach of course! Walk past the little market stall area and there you are!

At the western end of the paved seafront path, Av. Dos Pescadores, you arrive at a square with Igreja de Nossa Senhora da Luz (see pic) and the Fort - and an icream shop!

Are you into Walking for exercise or pleasure. Praia da Luz is a great place to have a beach walk. Or want to venture further? From Praia da Luz there are walking trails to Praia de Porto de Mós to the east and towards Sagres to the west where you can grab a very local Sagres beer!

Into Watersports? Praia da Luz offers Sailing; Windsurfing; Jet skiing; Kayaking; Stand-up paddle boarding and Water skiing! Visit https://beachhutwatersports.com/en/ Beach Hut Water Sports. The best place to surf is the nearby Praia de Porto de Mós or one of the beaches of Sagres. Redes D is well placed to explore the beaches in this part of the Algarve.
