Our lovely 4m bell tent is up once again and ready for visitors! It has two single mattresses in there already, but the space could sleep a small family. Guests have access to the compost toilet and solar shower, plus the camp kitchen with fridge, hob, kettle, kink, table and wifi hotspot.

We are seeking guests who would like to stay very soon, to road test the facilities at peppercorn exchange, in return for feedback to help us for the rest of the summer.

We welcome guests for energy exchange, too, if we have need of your skills, please contact us to discuss.

Bom dia everyone! It's a cool, damp morning this morning, giving the garden a well needed watering before things warm up over the next few days!

Dates are filling up over the summer fast now, so if you are thinking of a stay please do get in touch.

Our garden wall is being repaired, so that soon the garden will be 'Secreto' once more!

We were sad to find today that about half of the grand old wisteria that graces the front gate had died.

We have given it a haircut and hope this gentle rain, and a bit of agro-homeopathy will help soothe and stimulate growth. Pic is after the cutting.

We were a bit reluctant to remove too much at once and there is still lots of shaping to do in future, and a bit more support when we can, but for now we hope it survives so we can all enjoy it!

And thus the cycle continues. In other news, we refrained from naked gardening, just fyi. Apparently that's a thing on 1 May! 🙈

An update about the works here for potential guests to consider... the jobto do will be to construct a perimeter wall.
We anticipate approximately 2 days of works, to construct the initial areas. So even for the most sensitive souls, disruption will be minimal.
We are happy to talk through with anyone considering a stay. Thank you for your understanding during our cocoon to butterfly stage 🦋🙏

Figueira Eco-Annexe is unexpectedly available for May and June, so we are offering a discount for stays starting early May of 1 or 2 months, of 5%.

1 bedroom, 29m2 tiny house. Sleeps 4. This lovely lounge leads directly to the terrace and camp kitchen, part of the shared 4000m2 garden.

We have some roadworks happening in the lane outside the property - access to the garden is changing! It means we will be able to welcome a greater number of campers and vans in future - do contact us if you would like to discuss this!

Rosa Apartment just had an upgrade! We are delighted to say that there is now a 22l mini oven in Rosa, perfect for making toast, bread or small meals like this delicious looking salmon and vegetables!

And then.... Snow! We recalled that saying about the month of March, if it comes in like a lamb, it goes out like a lion... I must look up whether there is something like that in Portuguese.

The snow did not last, it is rainy now and the budding trees and plants are lapping it up 😊
