The village of Mata Pequena, with its dozen of houses, has remained almost untouched since the 19th century. Located in the volcanic zone (volcanoes in Portugal have been extinct for 70 million years) in the Lisbon belt, the small village is close to a very interesting geological site, a volcanic chimney, called a place of public interest. Mafra has hundreds of reasons for interest... its beaches, history, culture, gastronomy and wines.
In this village you can rent one of the houses for your holidays, in an absolutely rural atmosphere... 30 minutes from Lisbon.
