CASA W OLHAO - Founders

Samuel Brongniart and Raphaël Soulié, co-founders of the family-owned Casa W Olhão brand, have backgrounds in the tourism, hospitality, healthcare and health sectors. They want you to discover the Algarve by experiencing a new type of hospitality.

COVID-19, restrictions and confinements have given rise to a need for new horizons. A new way of traveling, simpler needs, authenticity, more autonomy, feeling safe, at home, enjoying on-demand services and small places with access to nearby nature.

This new hotel concept allows guests to enjoy personalized services while staying in their own home, with all the comforts and conveniences required, rather than in a hotel room or soulless apartment.

Samuel and Raphaël attach great importance to designing friendly environments. Warm family-home interiors that make you feel at home, relaxing or working in complete serenity.

Beyond all the bed and bath linen, every detail is important. Guests should be able to have a lovely dinner on the terrace with a beautiful tablecloth, some locally sourced crockery and a few candelabras to set the mood. Bathrooms are equipped with toiletries, hairdryers... In the kitchen, mineral water, a bottle of wine selected from a local vineyard and fruit. Of course, several type of teas, herbal tea, coffee , brown and white sugar, locally pressed olive oil, vinegars, oregano from the hills and spices are in the cupboard. And let’s not forget Raphaël’s pot of homemade jam, made with fruit found at the Olhão market.

For the rest, we act like a concierge, responding to the most demanding requests through our personal network.

As you can see, we believe that living in a Casa W Olhão fisherman’s cottage is all about feeling good and experiencing happiness.
