Jamanta
The biological diversity of the Ria Formosa is beyond our imagination.
Jamantas (Manta Rays) live in warm waters of the ocean, and in the Algarve, with 300 days of sunshine per year, we can find here the only Jamanta specimen.
This creature found in Olhão its perfect habitat, and now spends its day travelling through the canals of the Natural Park, between the barrier islands. A special place where you can discover fishing communities, oyster farms and birds that visit this protected lagoon.
Jamanta is a modern vessel with a capacity of 200 passengers. From April 2019 you can experience a regular guided tour with drinks on board and chillout music.
