Steffi and Anton have a very charming, modern home on one of the most beautiful parts of Pico island. The space itself is very spacious, and it overlooks the ocean! Stay at their place if you like to swim, hike, walk, cycle, sail, go horseback riding, whale watching and more. The side of the island they're on is especially great if you're looking to spend time with the Earth. Cows, horses, goats, sheep, chickens, are all within about 5 minutes walking from the house. A horse ranch located about 6 mins from the house offers lessons and short or long rides for beginners and more advanced riders (and the person who'll teach you how to improve is light hearted and helpful). Anton and Steffi were extremely generous and helpful. I visited Pico on a whim, without a car, and was able to do so much more than I anticipated because they knew how to help me get around the island one way or another. They also went so far as to anticipate what I might need and offered to help in whatever ways they could. They're very good people who love living on the island. If you love plants, animals, good people and incredibly fresh food, you'll be very happy you stayed at Casa Maria in Pico. I already miss their place and can't wait to go back!

Ein historischer Tag für den Tourismus auf den Azoren, vor allem auf die Insel Pico. , dass dies der erste von vielen Flüge auf die Insel ist ohne Zweifel eine Insel mit Zukunft im Rahmen des Tourismus auf den Azoren.
