Flores Island is considered one of the best places for Canyoning as there are many waterfalls and very diverse, one of the biggest waterfalls is located in Fajã Grande "Poço do Bacalhau".

The “Poço da Ribeira do Ferreiro”, or “Poço da Alagoinha”, or “Lagoa das Patas” is considered by many a paradisiacal and mandatory place on the island to visit, where you can find several waterfalls form a lake. You can visit this magical place through a small trail called “Poço da Ribeira do Ferreiro trail”.

A day spent in nature is a day well spent 🌿

As usual some members of Melo Team gathered in Furnas village for the monthly clean of the land that we own. We are able to take care of the endemic plants and make sure that everything is properly growing🌱This is one of the many actions we do around the year. We will be sharing more soon!

Dia das Montras (Show Window Day) is an Azorean tradition very common in São Miguel Island, more specifically in Ponta Delgada city. There is a competition where businesses prepare their show window for the regional holiday, today December 8th, and locals will go to the city center to get ideas of gifts and shop for Christmas 🎄 This tradition helps local shops to have a dynamic business around this time of the year, as it promotes buying what is local 🌍🏷️

A year ago the Azores became the first archipelago in the World to be certified for sustainable tourism by Earthcheck 🎉 It’s an amazing privilege to see how the Azores has been keeping up with this project and evolving thought this past year. A lot more to do and to accomplish, but raising awareness is the bigger step!🌱🌍
