TRAVEL TIP: If your flying into Portugal on a national airline - Azores airlines has a standard carry on bag size, but TAP has a very small carry on size bag (smaller than any other airline I have been on).

You can see the difference between the two in this photo.

Both airlines will also typically weigh your carry on - if it’s too heavy you will need to take items out or pay for a checked bag.

Lots of people ask about the cozido ( food that is cooked in the earth at Furnas - which you must try.
But there is also 2 other food items you should get when going to Furnas:
Bolo Levedos. Rosa Quintal has the best ones on the island.
Corn on the cob that is cooked in the hot springs. Sold in the parking lot area by the caldeiras.
