Experience 2: Slowly going into low season, let's explore the city's restaurants, for pleasure and for knowledge! I need to know where the good stuff is! Today was TAPABENTO, an ecclectic restaurant in Porto: "alheira" sausage croquettes with aioli mayo, ox tail dumplings, the best tortilla I ever had, pork tacos with pickled onions, peanut mousse and a merengue, lemon, orange roullade and coconut delight... Yummy 🤤🤤🤤!

All of these with home made ice tea and Port Wine chupito.

Right on the train station of São Bento, more central impossible, very friendly service.

This experience is going great!!!

It was the end of a very short, but good season, for me, because it's always nice to go back to where you were once happy!
It's not about how many times you go to one place, it's about giving your all every time you go there.

Experience 1: Slowly going into low season, it's time to start exploring the city's restaurants, for pleasure and for knowledge! I need to know where the good stuff is! Today was a M'Arrecreo, a Napolitan restaurant in Gaia, with a wonderful Focaccia and Pesto to start, Orange Juice and Red Ginger drinks, two giant pizzas (Tronchetto and Capricciosa), and Lemoncello to wrap it up. Very nice staff, good food, just by the river Douro. Nice way to start!

Está uma pessoa a trabalhar, e de repente repara que ao seu lado, a olhar para a mesma coisa, está a Giovanna Antonelli... Pois, não dá para deixar escapar a oportunidade, certo?!

Simpática e solícita, os meus americanos olhavam embevecidos e depois perguntaram: "Is it a super star?!" E eu lá expliquei quem era esta super actriz brasileira.

Claro, tinha que ser no dia em que não lavei o cabelo e levei o meu casaco "cobertor", mas isso é óbvio!
