🌳✨ This weekend at Pachawa Retreat Center, we had the pleasure of working alongside our friend and permaculture teacher, @eduardoterzidis , to maintain our beautiful food forest! 🌿
Two years ago, we made the decision to transform our permaculture garden into a thriving food forest. This change not only reduces maintenance but also helps conserve water by providing shade for our smaller plants and veggies. 🌱💧 Plus, the trees create valuable biomass for mulching!
This year, it was time to prune the trees to ensure they stay healthy and vibrant. 🌼✂️ We are so grateful for the community that comes together to nurture this space and support sustainable practices.
Did you know? At Pachawa, we serve delicious meals for our retreat guests sourced directly from our permaculture garden, creating yummy farm-to-table buffets that everyone loves! 🍽️🌾
