are the only direct income one can take from our land. They are taken one by one from the pine trees and sold to the industry that will take first the nuts out of the cones and then out of the nut shell. With the clean nuts we can make the best Pesto, but also use it in salads, pastry, etc
When we sell the cones, the price goes usually from 0,5€ to 1€ per Kilo, but after the process of removing the nuts from the cones and shells then the price goes to 80/90€ per kilo

We have 2 new #highbeds in the garden!! The old ones, made of recycled pallets are starting to fall apart and we are slowly replacing them. Jo and Paul came from England to spend a week with us volunteering with us and gave us precious help building them. The bottom has gravel and a metal mesh to avoid animals to access the veggies, then some rotten trunks and after that some layers of straw, manure and soil. We already started planting on the first one 😍
