Watching the news is so disheartening. I am having a hard time wrapping my head around the antisemitism that has started growing throughout my country. After learning about the holocaust at a young age and then visiting the holocaust museam as an adult, I never imagined this particular hatred would ever show up again like it has. I'd rather this did not become a political post. I'm not here to debate with anyone the atrocities brought on by humans, I just want to say to my Jewish acquaintances and friends, I stand against hatred toward the Jewish people. While reading my Bible this morning I read the following scripture that prompted this post. It is Ephesians 2:14-18....
For He himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, by setting aside in His flesh the law with its commands and regulations. His purpose was to create in Himself one new humanity out of the two, thus making peace, and in one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility. He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who are near. For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.
While I don't want to debate politics or the atrocities of humans and their willingness to destroy each other, I am happy to help anyone understand, to the best of my ability and knowledge, the meaning of the previous scriptures. Please reach out anytime.
I love you all. Have a blessed day.
