Quintamar - Holidays in Algarve's Nature
The history of our house in the Ria Formosa natural park goes back over 150 years. After the Quinta had decayed, we rebuilt it some years ago into four apartments.

Two houses at Quintamar with each 3 bedrooms, and two apartments at Quintamar with each 2 bedrooms, facing the lake, large dining/living rooms
, fully equipped kitchens, bathrooms, terraces. Quintamar Pomar farmhouse is a semi-detached house situated in a mature orchard of citrus trees, fig and pomegranate trees, located 200 metres from the Quintamar site. Pomar has sea views from the terraces and is just 10 minutes walk from Santa Luzia and about 4 minutes walk from Quintamar.

We have resumed the tradition of agriculture with our farm Quintamar Pomar. There we produce fruits and vegetables without fertilizers and pesticides, which we offer on the market and with which we supply some of the restaurants in the region. Sheep and goats are also kept at Quintamar Pomar which is an agrotourism project now.
𝐁𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞
At Quintamar you will find nature, tranquillity and deceleration instead of hotel castles and party beaches. Our guests sometimes sit for hours at our swimming pond, where they relax and listen to the frogs and let their eyes wander over the countryside. In the distance you can hear the sound of the sea.
𝐂𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐄𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞
Quintamar is about 500 meters from the sea. The beaches are about 1km away. If you leave the monitored part, you are soon alone in nature. In summer there is always a sea breeze blowing, which makes the heat bearable. The bathing season lasts from April to the end of October. The Ocean in the Algarve belongs to the cleanest coastal sections in Europe. There are two small restaurants on the island. The Praia do Barril, this year again was awarded by the EU with the "Blue Flag" for highest water quality.

Alternatively to the beach there's the swimming lake in front of Quintamar. The plants incorporated (on the side) naturally filter the water. No chlorine or other pool chemicals are used. Quintamar

Quintamar, situated in the nature reserve of Ria Formosa in the Algarve, Portugal, offers countless adventures for children. Add to that the clean sea with child-friendly beaches. Parents can relax in and around the holiday house, which contains four holiday apartments, and our organic Farm.
𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐚𝐧𝐝-𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫-𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐞
Our day starts with feeding the animals. Immediately upon waking, our son wants only one thing: to feed the animals. He has already made friends with the chickens, guinea pigs and rabbits. The animals know that when the children of the holiday guests arrive there will be a feast. Next to the enclosure you will find a trampoline, swings, slide and, under the 1,000-year old olive tree, a pirate ship that wants to be boarded each day anew.
𝐃𝐨𝐥𝐩𝐡𝐢𝐧 𝐰𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭
Our daughter is ten and is not very interested in the small livestock. She is most impressed by watching dolphins — not in the zoo, but in the sea facing Olhäo, half an hour's drive from Quintamar. Although the provider of the boat-safaris could not guarantee an encounter with the marine mammals, we took the risk - and were rewarded.
𝐀 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐭 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐰𝐢𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐝
Every now and then a stork lands at the lake in front of Quintamar - tempted by the many frogs. They enjoy themselves in the regeneration area of the lake, where plants purify the water in a natural process. The holiday apartments have either two or three bedrooms, a terrace with sea view and a pergola or veranda at lakeside. A gate to the patio prevents small children from jumping unattended into the water.
𝐉𝐮𝐦𝐩 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐰𝐢𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐫 𝐠𝐨 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐚? Those who prefer salt water (or if the sandpit next to the house is considered too small), will find fulfilment in the nearby sea. You will discover beautiful beaches for Swimming on the island spread in front of Quintamar reached via a miniature train a further highlight for our son, who will for sure one day become a train driver. Mass tourism is unknown in the Eastern Algarve. Nevertheless, a range of amenities is on offer. The former tuna station at Barril has been converted into two restaurants, catering to your culinary needs. The beaches with white sand, stretching along the 18km long island, invite one for long walks, collecting shells or building sand castles.

Connosco na reserva natural da Ria Formosa, pode estar só para si - longe da azáfama e da confusão. No entanto, as instalações comerciais e as praias com quilómetros de extensão estão próximas. Os nossos quatro apartamentos independentes têm todos entradas separadas e vista para o mar, cujo som, ao longe, se ouve. Além disso, temos uma casa separada a 150 metros de Quintamar. Como é evidente, respeitamos todas as regras de higiene e de distanciamento social e fornecemos desinfectantes. A pedido, fornecemos também frutas e legumes frescos da nossa quinta biológica. Se preferir não nadar no mar, temos uma alternativa para si. É a nossa lagoa natural de banhos. As plantas na borda do lago limpam a água de forma natural e formam um biótopo. Estamos equipados para famílias com crianças pequenas (parque de areia, parque infantil). Para crianças grandes e pequenas, acrescentámos recentemente um campo de basquetebol. Contacto:

Chez nous, dans la réserve naturelle de Ria Formosa, vous pouvez être tout à vous, loin de l'agitation. Pourtant, les magasins et les kilomètres de plages sont à proximité. Nos quatre appartements isolés ont tous une entrée séparée et une vue sur la mer, dont vous pouvez entendre le bruit. En outre, il y a une maison séparée à 150 mètres de Quintamar. Bien entendu, nous respectons toutes les règles d'hygiène et de distanciation sociale et fournissons des désinfectants. Sur demande, nous fournissons également des fruits et légumes frais provenant de notre ferme biologique. Si vous préférez ne pas vous baigner dans la mer, nous avons une alternative pour vous. C'est notre bassin de natation naturel. Les plantes du bord nettoient l'eau de manière naturelle et forment un biotope. Nous sommes équipés pour les familles avec de jeunes enfants (bac à sable, aire de jeux). Pour les petits et grands enfants, nous avons récemment ajouté un terrain de basket. Contact:
