Alentejo é planície, é por do sol e é desfrutar do silêncio e solidão na dose certa! Alentejo é campo, quietude e contemplação!
A integra-se em plena paisagem rural alentejana, próximo de Viana do Alentejo. Tem duas casas. Uma com três quartos e outra, o "the barn" com quatro quartos. É o sítio ideal para uma família grande ou um grupo de amigos que não se vê há algum tempo. Aqui tivemos contacto com a verdadeira experiência do campo: tiramos leite a cabras, fizemos queijo, visitamos oliveiras centenárias, confeccionámos as nossas refeições com produtos regionais e contemplamos as estrelas à noite!
O que acham deste sítio no Alentejo?
Alentejo is infinite landscape, it is sunset and you enjoy the silence and solitude in the right dose! Alentejo is countryside, stillness and contemplation!

is part of the Alentejo countryside, close to Viana do Alentejo. It has two houses. One with three bedrooms and the other, "the barn" with four bedrooms. It is the ideal place for a large family or a group of friends who have not seen each other in a while. Here we had contact with the true experience of the countryside: we milk goats, we make cheese, we visit century-old olive trees, we prepare our meals with regional products and we watch the stars at night!

A hidden Oasis in the Heart of the Alentejo

Andrea and Andreas invite you to stay with them! Originally from Switzerland, we, Andrea and Andreas spent the last 30 years traveling and living the world from Africa, to South East Asia, to Europe and South America with our four children.

We wanted to realise a lifelong dream to be close to nature, to farm and host guests. After searching many countries and corners of the world we found this magnificent spot and settled down here in Portugal on a farm amidst the centenary olive trees, cork trees, Ibarian oak trees and sheep.

Herdade dos Alfanges, a farmhouse that was first built in the 1600's, is located close to Vila Nova da Baronia, in the heart of the Alentejo region. Upon adopting this Herdade in summer 2017 we have been renovating it gradually to turn it into a little oasis.

Now we would like to open the doors and share our paradise with others.
