For the more adventurous, the imposing Pico Mountain, the highest in Portugal at 2,351 meters, offers climbers the opportunity to climb a classic volcanic 'cone' and from the summit have the unsurpassed view of the entire central group of islands.

Roger’s place was a great place to be for our time on Pico island. Right by the water and private. Also very friendly cats and dog that loved attention! Roger was so friendly. We visited from Canada and know very little Portuguese but Roger spoke perfect English if this is a concern for anyone! We would definitely return :)
