In Romania, we have a special greeting for today and until the end of the second day of Easter. We say "Hristos a înviat!" (Christ is ressurected) and reply with "Adevărat a înviat " (truelly has ressurected).
Another tradition is fighting with red painted eggs at the family lunch. Wins the one who succeeds keeping its egg intact. 😃
There are also this beautiful hand painted eggs - like the ones in the plate with apples. They are called eggs "încondeiate" and is a elaborate handcrafted art still practiced in some villages. ✨️
A lot of other balkan traditions reminds us of the importance of family and friends, of sharing, of being alive în togetherness.
