This old, forgotten wine cellar has been recently brought back to life and turned into a 21st-century comfort retreat, featuring home automations, high-speed Wifi, a smart TV, and a modern Kitchenette.
Private parking across the street and fitness studio are also provided for your convenience.
The spacious 54 sqm (580 sq ft) studio apartment features a large room with a comfortable double bed, a dining table for 3 and an original, antique Biedermeier style workspace and closet. This living/dining/bedroom connects through a hallway to a private bathroom with a walk-in shower at the middle and a modern kitchenette and storage room at the end.The Studio provides a 55 inch smart HDTV, high speed wireless and cable internet connection, automated underfloor heating, washing machine, hairdryer, bed linens, towels and a modernly equipped kitchenette that features a gas stove, microwave, fridge, freezer, coffeemaker, toaster, kettle and all the essentials (pots, dishes, glasses, cutlery etc.) needed for cooking and serving a delicious meal or drink. We kindly ask our guests to use the kitchen only for light cooking as we do not have a kitchen hood. Last time we checked, deep frying was not healthy anyway :D
As part of Kronhaus, our family's private 650 sq m2 (7000 sq ft) guest house that occupies part of the cellar, the second floor and a 2-story attic of the 1928 interwar building on 25 Nicolae Balcescu Street, it is ideally located in the central old city fortress area of Brasov. Initially designed to be the new home for our growing family, it was carefully restored and revamped over the span of more than a decade giving homage to its original Saxon architecture and, lovingly decorated in a traditional yet personal style that exhibits harmony, order, and friendly old-world charm. The whole house stands apart as a clash of new and old - a place where traditional architecture, antique furniture, select art pieces and intricate details rooted in rich local history, meet modern amenities like smart home automation, IP video surveillance, high-speed wifi, air conditioning, underfloor heating, solar panels, secure parking and state of the art fire prevention systems.
