What’s your plan when the concrete in the big city is burning hot? 🔥

Ours was to take our guest up in Bucegi Mtns and enjoy a more pleasant weather. We had all colors imaginable in the forecast, but we managed to pick our battles right and enjoy this tour to the fullest.💯

We showed our (new) 🇺🇸 American friend Costila Peak, Heroes’ Cross on Caraiman Peak, and the fascinating Sphinx on Bucegi. Then, an exciting 2,000m drop through some of the best trails in the area.

We knew we'd be back... we just didn't think we'd be back so soon! 🤟🏼

Because the last 2 days in Resita and Semenic were simply not enough, we decided to plan a second tour and repeat the experience.

But this time... on e-Bikes.🔋

Awesome trails, great camping, traditional dishes, and beautiful people. In other words, a weekend we'll all remember.

What's a better way of spending the 1st of May if not on some jaw dropping mountain bike trails?🤘

Together with 5 other riders we've had a great deal of fun following the best bike trails in Reșița and Semenic.

They're fresh, clean, flowy, and perfectly shaped for all skillsets - a must-ride if you're ever in the area.

Big up for and for shapeing these trails, and shoutout to 'La Salasul Fermecat' for hosting us and our bikes in Carașului Keys!

Last Sunday, we ventured into the rugged beauty of the Bucegi Mountains, taking on not one, but two steep valleys! 💪 Malin Valley welcomed us in the morning, thanks to a scenic cable car ride, while the second valley, Valea Alba, required some good old-fashioned bootpacking. With a team of four riders, we embraced the warmth of the sun, even if it was a tad too toasty for our liking! ☀️

These upcoming months, we’ve planned some awesome guided backcountry tours (on skis, snowboards, or splitboards - your call!).

Here’s the rundown:

19 - 21 January - Backcountry Risk Management – you’ll learn how to face some of the worst events that can happen during a backcountry tour.💨

26 - 29 January – Splitboard & Backcountry Course in Bucegi – we’ll do two days of splitboarding and perfecting our craft right here in our backyard.🏔️

2 - 4 February – Ski Touring & Backcountry Course in Balea – if you’re in for the long run, this ski touring experience is going to be one for the books!⛷️

24 Feb - 2 March – Backcountry in La Grave, France – whether you’ve been here before or it’s your first time riding in different surroundings, La Grave Mtns. promises 6 unforgettable days of pow, sweat, and fun.🏂

8 - 15 March – Backcountry in Pirin Mtns., Bulgaria – one of the best backcountry spots close to us, and it’s bound to be memorable. You’ll enjoy a less crowded resort that promises some awesome riding sessions!🔥

Weekendul care a trecut, de Vineri până Duminică, am organizat prima sesiune de curs Siguranță în Backcountry în munții Bucegi. A fost un curs destul de intensiv, de 3 zile cu informații acumulate de ambele părți. Am avut participanți serioși și studioși care au venit cu urechile pregătite și cu întrebările la ei. Au fost super deschiși să ia cunoștințele pe care le-am strâns din experiența noastră și pe care am vrut să le împărtășim pentru a le face turele mai safe, sau pentru a ridica un semn de întrebare atunci când este cazul.
Credem că am prezentat ingredientele care fac diferența dintre a termina o zi de dat cu zâmbetul pe buze și a o termina cu greu sau – worst case scenario - a n-o mai termina. Ne-am bucurat de întrebări, de exerciții practice și de o tură de căutat zăpadă.
În perioada 12-14 ianuarie organizăm următorul, așa că save the date de crezi că-i și pentru tine.

How long do you think you’d need to explore a country to understand the gist of it?

This American couple 🇺🇸traveled around Romania for 2 weeks, trying out things that travelers don’t usually do. Sure, walking around the city and trying its restaurants can be fun, but our couple also checked off from their bucket list alpinism, mushroom picking, hiking, and now mountain biking. 🚲

We had 2 eBike days that we spent in Postavarul Bike Park ⛰️ and other trails around Brasov and Tampa. Our riders were in great shape and happily faced everything we threw at them. 💯

It’s fair to say they fell in love with Romania and had a blast over these couple of weeks.🤘

How old do you think you’ll be when you call it quits on your bike?

In this beautiful group from Israel 🇮🇱, the oldest was 77 and still able to keep up with everyone else. We’ve spent 3 easy days on e-bikes riding in Viscri, Piatra Craiului, and Brasov.

Now, they’re returning home to a country different from how they left it. We wish our riders safe travels, and hopefully, they’ll someday return to Brasov to continue where they left off.

🧨Here's a quick breakdown of how our first Chasing Trails went...

On day one we kept it local. Our personal shuttle got us up in Poiana Brasov and our bikes back at the headquarters. ⛺️The only obvious way to finish the day was with a barbecue.

On day two, we took it up to Bucegi🏔️. Strunga trail got the best of us, but it paid off in tenfolds with sleek lines, scenic views, and pizza and burgers at the finish line.🍔

On day three - our last day chasing - we shoot our shot with some enduro trails in Red Mountain, Ciucas. 🤘 We managed to do 3 runs on 3 different trails before we had to head back home.

We had a weekend packed with riding bikes, sweat, fun, and good vibes. That's what Chasing Trails is all about. 💯

Well, it's a wrap! 🌯
The ‘22 - ‘23 winter season has officially ended on the 1st of June. 📣

And how else could we celebrate this + Children's day other than riding one of our favourite lines in the land, Malin valley, with a very cool crew. 🤘

We had some excellent spring (summer to be precise) snow, and a healthy dose of scrambling and tropical like rain in the forests below.

Local folklore says that going out with a bam and shredding on the last day usually pleases the snow gods for next winter.
So be it! 🤘🙏

This weekend we enjoyed clear night skies, a quiet morning, and a bit of fresh snowfall like winter was just around the corner. 🌨

Five riders from Cluj joined us on a backcountry tour in Bucegi Mtns. 🏔 and spent the night together in a secluded cabin in the mountains.

Although far from an Airbnb experience, the vibe was great, the sunset was breathtaking, and the weekend felt like an authentic spring tour. 🧨

It was an "all hands on deck" kind of situation in this past weekend. Four different tours in 48 hours!🤘

Saturday started off with a splitboard and ski touring course with two of our guides, exploring the Bucegi plateau with a very cool couple from Cluj.

Meanwhile, another guided group was summiting Omu peak in some harsh conditions. It needs to be said that skinning up through thick fog and icy traverses can only be acceptable if, on the way down, you get the bluest of blue bird skies and some really enjoyable, slushy snow. 👌

After finishing all of the activities mentioned above, two of our guides led the way to Piatra Arsa Cabin for a very fun group of eight clients (2 skiers and 6 splitboarders).

Perfect clear skies at sunset led to some memorable star gazing during the night. After some well deserved sleep, the group enjoyed a full day of fine weather and equally fun riding conditions.

The brilliant terrain that the Bucegi mountains have to offer secured a great end to this very busy weekend.

Winds of over 100/kmh, heavy rain, and low temperatures made our 2-day tour a full-on backcountry experience where we all challenged our limits. ⛈️

Despite the weather holding us back, we passed Mother Nature’s tests on both days, and our reward was a splendid second half of the day with bluebird skies and no wind at all.

The secret ingredient of our success was, for sure, the perfect mix of people that came together to have fun and vibe on the best kind of retreat. 🏔

Lots of good, clean fun happened on our most recent E-bike tour! 👌

Our eight super sporty guests came all the way from Belgium.
Their plan was to compete in the Transylvania 100 ultramarathon, have a day off and then head South towards the spectacular Danube Delta.

However, their ''day off'' ended up being a ride through the beautiful trails of the Postăvaru Massif, to the top of Tâmpa mountain.
Lovely conditions, beautiful views and some really good group vibes!

Awesome early season already and plus that we can't wait for our upcoming MTB tour Enduro Trails in Poiana Brașov - MTB tour on the 1st of June.

Today marks our first guided backcountry tour of the season! We cruised some new lines in Ciucaș mountains in picture perfect snow and scenery…November, you’ve been good! 🙏 Weather is looking promising and more snowfall is expected so get in touch and schedule your own tour with us! 🤘

Last 48 hours have been a trip, to say the least! 🔥Saturday was about scouting deep in the Bucegi mountains. After 1400m vert, three turns in powder, and some soup, we called it a day, still not enough snow…Well, 12 hours later and 50cm of fresh icing, we got together a badass crew and hit Postavaru peak. Turned out into the kind of day you’d list as top three of the season and it’s not even December yet! 🤯 Snow is still coming down and forecast are looking good so keep an eye out on our upcoming tours this week! 🤘

Spring and Autumn are the best times to visit Macin Mountains, oldest mountains from România. The wildlife is different from the rest of the country, the flowers are blooming and there are lots of dry trails.
