This is what a good day in the Delta looked like, wild horses, a super wild buffalo nervously watching us from afar, amazingly good pies from Letea, lots of pelicans, king fishers, a good swim in Sulina, a trip to the Black Sea on the Sulina canal, all totalling 107 km on the water!

The first time I hiked the Fagaras trails 15 years ago, just with Monika and Jörg, was in the summer of 2008. Now, after 15 years, they came back with their son Simon, 14 years old, to show him where they used to hike in their youth, and where his mother, Monika being a Saxon from Rasnov, was born. It was a superb tour, in all respects, weather, company, and last but not least, the visit to Ucea se Sus.
Let's meet again in 15 years, in 2038, and climb the Moldoveanu peak again!

From the experience of organizing mountain tours for over 23 years, I have learned that age is not what stops you from going to the mountains. And this tour in and proved me that once again. With a difference of 56 years between the youngest and the oldest participant, we enjoyed a tour in Bucegi, hills, Fagaras mountains, and up to . The weather was really capricious, from 30 degrees and sunshine to 6 degrees and hail! Enjoy the photos!

Heike was born in Medias, and at the end of the 90's she and her family decided to move to Germany.
She has been "home" a few times, but never in the mountains, or in the Fagaras mountains, so this summer, together with Michael, they decided to make a trip to the Fagraras, and where else but on Moldoveanu, through Podragu. It was an über successful tour, from all points of view, starting with the potato stew, made by my mother in the village of Ucea de Sus, to the last sandwich made by Corina, from Podragu!
