Since I was a kid I loved to explore new places and go off the beaten path. I liked showing my friends the lucky finds and enjoying them together. No wonder I decided to study tourism and got an MSc in it. Although I imagined I'll be climbing the career ladder, after working in sales for a start-up company I realized that I actually want to work for myself. 3 years ago I quit my office job for a sabbatical journey that re-opened my eyes for my biggest passions: travel & hospitality. Traveling was what united us, so we started planning our adventure to the Cayman Islands, while I was working on my dream job as an independent tour guide in Bucharest. After meeting so many people with Romanian roots that wanted to visit their ancestral country, I realized that maybe others would like to explore this hidden gem of Europe. I am a 28-year old curious and adventurous spirit, always in the search for a new challenge. I have tried corporate life for a few years after I have finished by Masters in Marketing in big companies such as Nestlé or GSK but have decided that there is more to life at this age than what a cubicle has to offer. Luckily, three years ago I met Vlad, the perfect partner in crime as we decided to quit our jobs and go on an extended traveling adventure in the Cayman Islands.
Soon after we started working we realised that most of the people we met didn't know much about Romania, if anything at all. The idea of Romanian Thrills started materializing in our heads because Romania is one of the most beautiful countries in Eastern Europe which remains a largely unexplored area by tourists outside of Europe, with pristine nature and a tumultuous past.
What is Romanian Thrills?
It is travel concept created by us that implies bespoke, hassle-free authentic tours in Romania. We like slow-traveling, engaging with the locals, exploring the untouched areas, we love small groups and we care about the people we invite to discover our country with us.
We are aware that most of the people know too little about this amazing country so we want to plan everything for our customers, from arrival to departure so they can only enjoy relax and not worry about missing something from lack of research.
