The highlight? Under the castle's shadow, one of our guests proposed, and she said YES! 💍❤️ It was a truly enchanting moment that added extra magic to our journey.

Recently, we had the pleasure of hosting a guest who is not only a passionate traveller but also an expert in Byzantine history and art. The experience they had while exploring the UNESCO Painted Monasteries in Bucovina was particularly meaningful, thanks to our amazing guide, Florin.

With a degree in History and over a decade of guiding experience, Florin's in-depth knowledge of Byzantine art and the region made this tour exceptional. His expertise truly shone, helping our guests connect with one of the most intricate areas of Romanian culture and history.

"I have wanted to visit the painted monasteries of Bucovina for 40 years. Florian proved to be a knowledgeable guide, willing to make accommodations to my special interests and full of excellent historical background. During the long drives we talked about all sorts of topics and his insights helped me really get a grasp on Romania past and present. As for the sights, autumn was the perfect time to enjoy the natural beauty. The monasteries are lovingly tended by nuns and the grounds offered a peaceful environment. I was reluctant to leave each one. Our accommodations were comfortable and beautiful with excellent cuisine and sincere hospitality."

Horse carriage rides, wine tastings, epic road trips and mountainous adventures - that’s just our last weekend in Transylvania.

First stop: Sibiel, where we traded cars for horse carriages and slow life for high spirits. Forget Uber; these horses know the real shortcuts through Transylvanian culture!

Next, Sibiu's 'watching eyes' from the rooftops seemed to follow us as we sipped some of the best local wines paired with dishes that are impossible to pronounce but easy to devour.

Ever hit the road just because it's there? That was us on the Transfagarasan Highway. Imagine a road that’s like a rollercoaster, but you control the speed. And yes, we had chocolates named after the Fagaras Mountains—because how else do you celebrate conquering epic hairpin turns?

A nighttime visit to Bran Castle? Spooky but epic! Creaky floors, eerie legends, and no, we didn't see Dracula. But we came close enough to send chills down our spines!

We ended the weekend huddled around a campfire, sipping Romania's answer to liquid courage—tuica—while sharing stories that'll last a lifetime.
