Suntem unul din cele peste 300 de capitole din cadrul People to People International. Fondat în 1989, PTPI Roman, a fost permanent implicat în diverse programe spefice PTPI precum “Homestay”, “Language Ambassador”, “Sister Chapter” dar mai ales a găzduit Conferinta Europeana PTPI din 2016. Deși suntem un “community chapter” (care nu implică o limită de vârstă membrilor săi) majoritatea celor din P
TPI Roman sunt tineri, elevi a mai multor școli din Roman. Tocmai de aceea cele mai multe dintre programele noastre sunt proiecte de tineret precum: traininguri și schimburi de tineri. Pe lângă acestea avem și numeroase proiecte locale, cm ar fi: candies for a smile, MP3 experience, free hugs, volontariat la Melchisedec etc. In 2009 capitolul nostru a primit o finanțare a Uniunii Europene în vederea găzduirii unui schimb de tineri la Piatra Neamț. Pe parcursul a 8 zile un număr de aproximativ 30 de tineri din Romania, Lituania, Malta, Turcia si Cehia au participat la proiectul numit “Ready, steady… go for a healthy life!”
We are one of over 300 chapters in People to People International. Founded in 1989, PTPI Roman, has been permanently involved in various specific PTPI programs such as "Homestay", "Language Ambassador", "Sister Chapter" but especially hosted the European PTPI Conference in 2016. Although we are a “community chapter” (which does not involve an age limit for its members) most of those in PTPI Roman are young, students of several schools in Roman. That is why most of our programs are youth projects such as: trainings and youth exchanges. In addition, we have many local projects, such as: candies for a smile, MP3 experience, free hugs, volunteering at Melchizedek, etc. In 2009 our chapter received a European Union funding to host a youth exchange in Piatra Neamt. During 8 days a number of approximately 30 young people from Romania, Lithuania, Malta, Turkey and the Czech Republic participated in the project called "Ready, steady… go for a healthy life!
