🎄 A Magical Christmas Market Tour in Romania 🎄

This winter, we guided an unforgettable journey through Romania's festive wonders. We started in Maramureș, riding the steam train through snowy landscapes and visiting the unique Merry Cemetery. In Transylvania, we explored the enchanting Christmas markets of Sibiu, Cluj, and Brașov, and marveled at the icy beauty of Bâlea Lake and its Ice Hotel.

The trip wouldn’t be complete without visiting the stunning castles and medieval citadels, and we ended in Bucharest, enjoying its festive markets and dazzling holiday decorations.

Just wrapped up an incredible one week-long wine tour with our guests from Sweden! We had the pleasure of introducing them to some of Romania's finest wine regions, while also giving them a taste of our rich culture and traditional cuisine. It was a true marathon of wine, food, and culture, and our guests were pleasantly surprised by the quality and variety of Romanian wines. A few pics from the first two days of our August hiking tour in Romania. We enjoyed excellent weather and stunning landscapes in Bucegi Natural Park and the nearby mountain villages. Tomorrow, our adventure continues in the Transylvanian highlands with a hike on Via Transilvanica.

When I told my guests about the Joffre cake, invented by the Romanian master of desserts, Grigore Capsa, in the early 20th century to honor the visit of French Marshal Joseph Joffre to his pastry shop, we simply had to include a visit to the historical place in search of it. And lo and behold, we found it! Our encounter with the cake was truly delightful and sweet. :) 🍰🥮🍫
