Transylvania has been inhabited by Romanians, Transylvanian Saxons, Hungarians but also other peoples since the middle of the 12th century. The Hungarians were for the most part nobles. Some of them owned entire villages. That is why there are so many houses of nobles in the villages. Most of them were built away from the main roads, so they did not suffer much damage and are still standing today.

Our country is made up of 33.3% of mountains, hills, and flatlands. You can climb up to an altitude of 2544 meters. Elsewhere you can also climb higher - we know that. But what is unique here is that nature in our country is untouched. You walk for hours without finding a single settlement. On the other hand, the animal world is very present. The hardly used country roads offer a wonderful opportunity to cycle, hike and explore Romania's hidden treasures. Be active on your holiday!
