Dear Louis Vuitton creative and marketing team,
Please give credit and respect to the communities of Transylvania, Oltenia and Muntenia in Romania who have preserved their identity and cultural heritage through the unique traditional costume, testimony of their passing through history from generation to generation. Some pieces in the collection “LV by the Pool” 2024 are inspired by the Romanian blouse specific to the Mărginimea Sibiului region, without indicating the source of the design. We consider that the way in which the motifs, cut and structure of the traditional Romanian blouse are used in the LV collection, without acknowledging the origin and identity, violates the cultural rights of the communities in the above-mentioned regions. Therefore, we kindly ask you to remove from the collection all pieces of Romanian inspiration until obtaining the agreement to use the cultural design, with the mention of the due credit.
