This week Roberta guided a study tour with Dr Meinolf Arens from the International Institute for Ethnic Groups Rights and Regionalism based in München. The group studied the ethnic groups living together South Eastern Transylvania and their confessional identity. They visited Saxon, Sekler and Armenian comnunities, respectively their churches, and learned about their past and present.

Turul de aseară a fost de neuitat! Dan, ghidul nostru pasionat, i-a condus prin cetatea Timișoarei, dezvăluindu-le localnicilor secretele și frumusețea orașului. Alături de prietenii noștri de la Visit Timișoara, Organizația de Management a Destinației din Timișoara, participanții au redescoperit farmecul Timișoarei la ceas de seară. Mulțumim tuturor pentru o seară minunată! 🌟

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of hosting another incredible Communist Tour! A special shoutout to Amandine from France, who captured some fantastic photos during the tour. Amandine is working on her PhD about communism and has joined our tours for the second year in a row!

Our group was a lively bunch from the Netherlands, eager to dive into the rich and complex history of Timișoara under communism. We hope everyone left with a deeper understanding and appreciation of our city's past.

Am avut o experiență minunată la evenimentul "Vin la Curte" desfășurat în curtea Bibliotecii Județene "A.D. Xenopol"! Weekendul acesta a fost dedicat vinurilor albe din podgoria Miniș-Măderat. Am fost invitați să degustăm aceste vinuri și să ne bucurăm de aromele lor rafinate. Trei zile de savurat și de descoperit poveștile din spatele fiecărei sticle. Mulțumim organizatorilor pentru această călătorie de neuitat în lumea vinurilor! 🥂

Embark on a journey through history with our trip to Alba Iulia and Turda Salt Mine, with the option of dropping off in Cluj-Napoca (departure from Timisoara).

At 8:00, we'll whisk you away from your doorstep in Timisoara. Our route takes us eastward, traversing the majestic Carpathian Mountains while tracing the winding path of the Mures River.

Our first stop is Alba Iulia, often referred to as the White City, boasting an impressive 2000 years of history dating back to the Roman Empire. During the Middle Ages, it served as the inaugural capital of Transylvania. As we step into the 18th century, Alba Iulia found itself within the Habsburg Empire, witnessing the construction of a formidable fortress in the iconic Vauban style—a marvel that still stands today, awaiting our exploration.

One of the most spectacular day trips we offer is the Turda Salt Mine and Corvin Castle trip. In one day, we’ll get to see one of the most amazing Gothic castles in Europe, hear all the legends about the castle, its owners, and its prisoners, and also get the chance to explore probably the best underground place in Romania and surely one of the best in Europe—the Turda Salt Mine.
