Almost 80 years after the battle of Moscow, journalist Alexander Nikitin at one of the online auctions selling photographs of the Great Patriotic War period discovered a picture showing a young partisan hanged from a tree. On the back of the photo is the inscription: "1941. The village of Golovkovo. "

The authors of the film conducted their own investigation and found that the picture shows Hero of Russia Vera Voloshina.

Vera Voloshina and her fellow anti-fascist Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya were overpowered by a fierce crowd of German soldiers who possessed the legalized power of killing. The women exhibited their power to the enemy. The power of the weak. The task of the film is to reveal their feat to a new generation.
