As far as your visa is concerned, many cruise lines tell their guests that in order to get off of the cruise ship in St. Petersburg, Russia you will need to be on one of their ship sponsored cruise line shore excursions. Simply not true. Guests who arrange their own visa ahead of time will be able to join this excursion and see the beauty of Russia the easy way. This also applies to those guests who are vacationing in St. Petersburg on the own.
St. Petersburg, named after Peter the Great is full of history, culture and a lot to see. Enjoy some of the famous sights such as the Stroganov Palace, Kazan Cathedral, Summer Gardens, St. Isaac's Cathedral, and the Palace Square, you are sure to find something to interest everyone.
With St. Petersburg City Sightseeing you can experience this city from a bright red, double-decker bus, and hop on, or off, at any one of the 18 stops, or ride the bus for the entire route. Encouraging flexibility, you will be given a map, can listen to descriptions on personal earphones in various languages, and determine which stop has what you want to experience up close and personal.
There are 2 routes. Guests may choose to stay on the bus for the entire circuit which takes approximately 80 minutes or hop off at whichever stop they choose then hop back on the next bus. Buses run approximately every 30 minutes. The first bus departs at 09:00 AM and the last bus at 08:00 PM.
