What a shame when due to political situation you have only one group of photographers in winter and the Amur leopard comes in two days after they left the hide 😬. Double shame is when they come together with a tiger within one hour. 😬😬

During our wildlife trip we had an overnight in the hunters’ land for thousands hectares in a winter hut. The place was interesting concerning high Amur tigers population density. The hunters drank a lot of vodka 24 hours a day and told a lot of interesting stories. As they come to this land more for a company and to drink vodka&moonshine rather than for deers’ hunting, our wildlife is in safe 😂
One of the hunters told me a story: “One winter day I woke up an early morning and decided to get a deer. I took my gun and went 200 meters from the hut and found fresh tiger’s footprints, I went another direction and found footprints of another tiger, when I found fresh footprints in the third direction I decided to give up hunting for that day and went for my full bottle of vodka.”
If to talk seriously, usually good responsible hunters run their hunting clubs very well, provide extra food for ungulates in winter hard times and salt in spring, and protect their territories against poachers. They buy expensive licenses to hunt and usually don’t kill more than they need for food.
By the way, a lot of poachers were mobilized last year, at least we have one advantage of this crazy war.

Kedrovaya Pad’ Reserve has really surprised me after almost 2 years of my absence. It has never been so wild for the last 5 years we worked there. Deers scream all the time, bears are so active trying to catch salmon in Kedrovaya River, badgers are everywhere, Amur leopards make noise as they pass through fallen leaves.

There are 2 Amur leopards and 3 Amur tigers inhabiting in the photo hides area.

The coming winter 2023-2024 seems to be very successful.

Our first foreign tourist has got his evisa to Russia since the program has been launched a month ago. That was fast and easy. You need:
- To check if your country is on the list of 55 foreign states and fill in the form on https://evisa.kdmid.ru/
- 40$
- 4 days to get it
- At least 6 months valid passport from the date of application
The evisa is given for 16 days stay in Russia.

If you do not meet the Evisa criteria, a tourist visa is still easy to get for all nationalities, we’ll send you invitation letter.

How to get to Vladivostok now?

If you want to visit our Amur tigers & Amur leopards land, there are two ways: via Moscow or directly to Vladivostok from Asia.

Flights to Moscow are possible via Istanbul, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha, Tbilisi, Astana, Delhi, Mumbai and many others. Then you take direct flight from Moscow to Vladivostok (5-6 times a day).

Flights to Vladivostok from Asia are possible via Beijing, Harbin, Tashkent and Bangkok. Plus weekly ferry from Donghae, South Korea.
Also we’re waiting for new direct flights to launch from Jakarta, Denpasar, Vientiane.

E-visas will be restarted from July 15th.

🐆Amur leopards population continues to grow. According to the last Leopard Land NP census there are 125 adults now comparing with 91 in 2019 and 35 in 2007! Hope this growth will be stable and our leopards will feel comfortable in our forests. ⠀ ⠀

Due to political situation we don’t provide places in 3-6 PAX group photo tours for Amur leopards and Amur tigers but we provide individual tours on request. It is still safe and secure in the Russian Far East and the number of tigers and leopards still increases.

we consider it like a prank, but the world is so divided into many different opinions now, so we just a bit confused and want to see your comments.
