Akagera National Park lies in eastern Rwanda, hugging the border with Tanzania. It's characterized by woodland, swamps, low mountains and savannah. The varied terrain shelters wildlife including zebras, giraffes, elephants, lions and hundreds of bird species, such as the rare shoebill stork. In the southern part of the park, vast Lake Ihema is home to hippos and crocodiles.
Visit Rwanda with @missionariestourw let’s visit Akagera National Park together on 05th March 2022 with Missionaries Tour Rwanda 🇷🇼

Between 1994 and 2000, the park lost its entire Lion population due to Human-wildlife conflict.
Since 2010, Huge progress has been mage in tourism development, community engagement, and reducing illegal activities thanks to public-private partnership formed by @rdb_rw (Rwanda Development Board) and @africanparksnetwork (AP). The park reintroduced the Lions.
We have roughly 40 individuals, according to the conservation and research department, and this return of lions in the park has heen a huge boos to the park’s fantastic experiences.
Lions resting in their natural habitat, as shown in the video above. Do you have any fresh weekend plans?
You can visit the park during the day or night gamedrive to try luck meeting this lovely beast.
Take a skilled guide from @missionariestourw community freelance guides Team who can point you in the direction of locations with abundant wildlife and beautiful scenery.
